Zolicia Abotsi serves as the director of the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research at Baruch College. She is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) with more than 15 years of progressive experience in sponsored project management, budget analysis and development, and compliance. She oversees various grants sponsored by the federal government, including those given through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), numerous state agencies, and the private sector. Having worked closely with organizations such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), the New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR), NASA and NOAA, Zolicia has an intuitive understanding that allows her to work proactively and efficiently.
Her previous work at GE Aviation and Johnson and Johnson in process excellence has served her well. She has revamped many processes, and as a result, has facilitated higher productivity in the activities that interact and rely on research funds throughout the College.
Zolicia Abotsi holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Zicklin School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from City College. She is a NYS Notary Public.
